ABOUT LEINTH AND LEINTH

I composed this collage after reading about Leinth, an ancient Etruscan deity of death whose gender shifts throughout the very few depictions of her/him. We understand very little about the Etruscans, but we do know from their highly visual and arguably illustrative cultural items that they valued the expression of their culture and their stories, especially through in their burial tombs. Leinth appears on two artifacts, a mirror found in Perugia (appearing a woman), and a mirror found in Chiusi (appearing as a man). I wanted to depict Leinth in conversation with themselves, hence the two heads in my piece, the feminine form of Leinth conversing and potentially morphing into the masculine form of Leinth.

COLOR NOTES

Slight differences in color between the original image and the photo of the print may show on certain screens. Colors can shift in photos based on the light in the room. The full image of the print, is the same image I used to make the print and is the best representation of the colors in the printed work.

SHIPPING

Framed prints ship in recyclable cardboard wrapping.

All unframed small prints ship in an recycled plastic sleeve with a backer and in a rigid card-board mailer.

Most prints ship within 1-2 days. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping based on fluctuating inventory. I will contact you personally if I suspect any delays.
