Group Bundle Dyed Scarf Workshop (Book at your leisure)
Dye yourself a beautiful and bespoke silk scarf in the company of your favorite people. In this 1.5 hour workshop, you'll play with lovingly foraged plants and soft silk, explore the science behind natural colors in a supportive environment, and create a scarf to gift or treasure. Perfect for small teams, friend groups, bridal showers, clubs, or anyone who wants to gather around a fun natural dye experience.
Bundle dyeing is the art of bundling plants into fabric to create abstract prints. With some guidance, anyone of any skill level can achieve bold results that often resemble a watercolor painting. Each person can choose between creating a cool-toned or warm-toned scarf using safe modifiers, allowing everyone to bring home a scarf to love.
INCLUDES
An inviting space created for you and your group to delight in the wonders of natural dyeing.
Friendly and warm guided instruction.
A seasonal assortment of fresh and/or dries dye plants for your group to play and experiment with.
1 pot of handmade natural dye.
Mordants and modifiers
1 pre-treated silk scarf per person
Water and tea

Please ensure that your entire group can attend the class prior to purchasing.
SCHEDULING
During the check-out process, you will be prompted with a form that allows you to choose three potential dates/times. Please list your date/time in order of preference and I will contact you shortly to let you know what might work.
For dates less than a month away, please contact me directly to check my availability prior to purchasing.
LOGISTICS
If you have an ideal space available already (such as an office or courtyard), I'm always happy to come to you to conduct our class on-sight. Please obtain permission for our class from any vacation rental hosts and feel free to connect me to the property manager to iron out any logistics. I can also book an appropriate venue for our class myself.
1 week before your class, I will send the purchaser an email that includes any details that the group should know about the location, parking, what to wear, or anything else important for our workshop to run smoothly.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refund: Notice given 1 full week before scheduled class date.
50% Partial refund: Notice given 4 full days before scheduled class date.
Cancellations that occur after 3 days are subject to full payment. Please understand that to teach your class I book a venue in advance and spend time preparing materials for your group beforehand, and therefore cannot accommodate last-minute cancellations. Of course, emergencies happen. In the case of a genuine emergency (extreme illness, death of a loved one, hospitalization, sudden accident, etc.) I’m happy to find a way to reschedule your group for a time that fits everyone’s needs.
SAFETY
Participants should inform me of any plant-related allergies or sensitivities ahead of the class. Natural dyeing requires participants come contact with VERY minute and safe amounts of certain metals such as aluminum and iron. If you have any concerns about contact with these metals, gloves can be provided.
